Program Description

Description

The imaginative author uses a historical event as a blueprint to construct a story about Li Shande, an employee in the Tang Dynasty who has worked hard to transport litchi. Although this is a historical novel, readers can see the shadow of their own lives in it.

Sunnie Zhang is a columnist who loves reading, food and travel. She will lead a book discussion of The Litchi Road in Chinese. Copies of the book will be available in Chinese at the Circulation Desk.
