Jericho fifth graders from the Cantiague, Jackson and Seaman schools will be treated to a virtual appearance by noted author Sharon Draper on Wednesday, May 18th. Mrs. Draper is a professional educator. She has won the Coretta Scott King Award five times and is a New York Times bestselling author and the recipient of numerous other literary awards. Jericho’s fifth graders will have read her latest book Out of My Heart and each child will receive their own copy which has been generously provided by the elementary school’s PTAs. This program is made possible through the coordinated efforts of the principals, teachers and the Jericho Public Library.
