An American actress and comedienne, Betty White was a pioneer in the television industry. Her career began in 1949 and lasted seven decades. She hosted variety shows, starred in sitcoms and was a mainstay of game shows before creating two of the most memorable characters in sitcom history; the nymphomanaical Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and the sweet but dim Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls. This talk will showcase the unique and memorable career of one of television’s most beloved personalities.
