Practice the power of observation after watching a short online video, make invisible ink, observe our fingerprints, extract DNA from a piece of fruit and attempt to solve a real mystery!
Materials Needed:
- one lemon or small amount of lemon juice
- one small paint brush
- one plain piece of white paper
- a pencil
- scotch tape
- a teaspoon of flour or other another powder
- ink pad (optional)
Optional materials for DNA testing:
- rubbing alcohol(placed in the freezer one hour before class)
- 3 plastic cups, or clear glass
- pinch of salt
- 1ml. of dish soap
- coffee filter
- rubber band
- plastic ziploc bag
- piece of fruit
